Just now getting around to posting my deals from yesterday. Didn't have a very pleasant evening after getting home from work. We were excited to receive an envelope from the IRS, expecting our stimulus check. No such luck. Instead it's a bill from 2006! That is never fun. Especially when we file through H & R Block. Hmph!

Anyhow, I managed to swing by CVS after work. I hit the store right next to work first. I was looking for the Hawaiian Tropics $1.99 items people have been scoring: money maker! Buy 2 HT items, receive $10 ECB. The only HT items I managed to find were two small bottles for $9.99 each. I'll pass. Here's what I did get at the first store...

Crest Mouthwash - 2 @ $3.99 each
Crest Glide Floss - 4 @ $6.98/2

Subtotal: $21.94

- $4.00 CVS Coupon ($4 off $20)
- $0.75 Crest Mouthwash Coupon
- $0.75 Crest Mouthwash Coupon
- $1.00 Crest Glide Coupon
- $1.00 Crest Glide Coupon
- $1.00 Crest Glide Coupon
- $1.00 Crest Glide Coupon

New Subtotal: $12.44

I used $8.97 + $3.47 in ECBs.

Paid $0.33 out of pocket.

Earned $10.00 ECBs.

So I spent more in ECBs than I earned, but the husband can use these items, so it was a worthwhile purchase.

Still on the hunt for the HT items, I stopped by the CVS by our house. Again, no such luck, but I did have my Hershey's coupons on me and decided to use them. Might as well, right? :) I ended up opening the bags before taking pictures, oops! They are delicious though!

Hersheys Bliss Milk Chocolate - 4 bags @ $4.29 each
Hersheys Mini Bars - 2 @ $0.99 each

Subtotal: $19.14

- $3.00 CVS Coupon ($3 off $15)
- $4.29 Hersheys B1G1F Coupon
- $4.29 Hersheys B1G1F Coupon

New Subtotal: $7.56

Used $6.00 ECBs.

Paid $1.76 out of pocket. This is the highest in quite a while. :(

Earned $5.00 in ECBs. Once again I spent more than I earned, by mistake. I forgot a few things and was in a rush.

Later that evening, the husband decided to make a Walgreens run. I loaded him up with coupons and RRs and off he went. He didn't do too bad! Here's what he was able to get (a lot is still out of stock)...

Tuf Paper Towels - 4 @ $0.89 each
Pepsi 20oz - 2 @ $1.39 each
Diet Coke 20oz - 1 @ $1.39
Diet Coke 2 Liter - 1 @ $1.59
Cottonelle Fresh Wipes - 2 @ $3.18 each
Nail Clippers - 1 @ $2.99 (not pictured)

Subtotal: $18.67

- $2.36 Cottonelle WAGS Coupon
- $2.00 Cottonelle Coupon
- $1.56 Tuf WAGS Coupon

New Subtotal: $12.75

Used $10.00 RRs. Paid $3.50 out of pocket. Not bad for Walgreens. And definitely not bad for sending an unsupervised husband to do the job. (Kidding! He's great with all of this!)
